This beautiful vacation home is located just a two minute walk from the popular Skaket Beach in Orleans, MA, a quaint seaside town that sits on the outer elbow of Cape Cod. With about 2,350 square feet to call your own, you’ll step into a clean, bright, modern and spacious space that offers excellent amenities and can comfortably sleep up to 8 people. With a perfect blend of quality and privacy that’s merely steps away from the sand, the area also boasts the popular Cape Cod Rail Trail bike path (about 1/2 mile away) and downtown Orleans (1 mile away), with a wide variety of shops and restaurants to enjoy along the way.

The home has 2 master bedrooms, each with a private full bath. There are two more bedrooms with a pair of twins each. The twin bedrooms share another full bath. There is also a half bath near the kitchen.

With bright and modern stainless steel appliances, the kitchen also includes granite counter tops, a gas range, and a large center island with seating for two.

The space then opens up to the dining area, which seats up to eight, while the open floor plan flows into the living room with plenty of comfortable seating and a large wall mounted Smart TV.

There is a gas grill and dining table and chairs for 8 on the elevated private back deck. There’s also an enclosed outdoor shower on the side of the house.

The house has central A/C, high speed Wi-Fi, cable and smart TV, as well as a Sonos Sound System.

The Area

Skaket Beach is a very popular Mid-Cape beach located on Cape Cod Bay. It’s a beautiful calm beach that is best known for its dramatic low tides and amazing sunsets. At low tide, the flats are exposed and you can walk out up to 1/2 mile to explore the tidal pools and crabs. At high tide, there is clear, warm water and calm surf. The beach also has a concession stand, lifeguards and restrooms.

The daily tide schedule is important to keep in mind since you can only swim at high tide and low tide is better for beach walks, exploring and skim boarding.

If you want to experience another classic beach on the outer edge of Cape Cod, go to Nauset Beach on the Atlantic Ocean. It’s a 10 mile stretch of white sandy beach and rolling sand dunes with a good amount of waves, surf, and cold water.

Nickerson State Park is another great place to explore. It’s a state owned, public recreation area of more than 1,900 acres located in Brewster (the town next to Orleans). The park’s sandy soil and scrub pines surround many kettle ponds. Great area for walking, fishing, swimming and renting kayaks / SUP’s.

We love to rent bikes at Orleans Cycle and ride along the famous Cape Cod Rail Trail. The CCRT is a 25.5 mile paved bike trail that passes through almost all the towns in Cape Cod. Pack a backpack with a swim suit, towel and lunch and stop to swim & picnic at the various ponds you’ll pass along the trail.

We always having fun playing a round of mini golf at Cape Escape Adventure Golf.
